HIGH COMMISSIONER MUHIZI PRESENTS CREDENTIALS TO SINGAPORE’S PRESIDENT

17 November 2025 - Today at the Istana, the official residence and office of the President of the Republic of Singapore, High Commissioner Innocent B. Muhizi formally presented his letters of credence to His Excellency President Tharman Shanmugaratnam, marking the official start of his mission as Rwanda’s top diplomat to Singapore.

During the ceremony, High Commissioner Muhizi conveyed warm greetings from H.E. President Paul Kagame and reaffirmed Rwanda’s commitment to deepening bilateral ties with Singapore.

\Following the presentation, High Commissioner Muhizi expressed his gratitude and outlined Rwanda’s vision for enhanced collaboration:

“It is a great honour to represent Rwanda in Singapore. We look forward to fostering stronger ties in trade, investment, technology, and innovation, and to building partnerships that advance mutual prosperity for our nations.”

President Tharman welcomed the High Commissioner and emphasised Singapore’s readiness to elevate cooperation with Rwanda both bilaterally and multilaterally.

Rwanda and Singapore share a common vision of leveraging innovation and economic collaboration to drive sustainable growth. Key areas of partnership include technology and innovation, digital transformation, education and skills development, green technologies and sustainable urban development.
