About our Rwandan Community Abroad (RCA)
The Rwandan Community Abroad (RCA) in our jurisdiction countries plays a dynamic and growing role in Rwanda’s development.
Across the region, talented young Rwandans are pursuing advanced education at leading universities, while others are driving innovation and growth through business and entrepreneurship—bringing skills, ideas, and global connections back to Rwanda.
RCA Projects
Beyond coming together for major national commemorations such as National Heroes Day, Kwibuka, and Kwibohora, RCA communities across the jurisdiction actively organise vibrant cultural and community‑based events that celebrate Rwandan heritage, strengthen bonds, and foster a strong sense of unity and belonging.
Amateka Series
In 2020, the Rwandan youth living in Perth, Australia (RCA Perth) launched a Rwandan history and art project, Amateka Series. Amateka Series aims to strengthen Rwandan youth’s journey of reconnecting to their identity by inviting guests and creating discussions that will inspire them to continue to work together and be more proactive in their host community.
